Dan Snetselaar has been at Protolabs for 9 years and works as a Product Sales Leader for CNC, specialising in driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction across major accounts. With a strong focus on solution-oriented selling, Dan builds lasting client relationships and collaborates closely with engineering and production teams to deliver tailored CNC solutions. His leadership and industry knowledge make him a key contributor to Protolabs’ success and a valued mentor to new sales team members.
Joshua Thomson-Smith is a Trustee of the IMechE working to elevate the young member voice, champion D&I committee work across the Institution and pull together the international young members as part of realising our 2030 strategy. He also was the creator of the IMechE Talking Together series that explores the universal issue of mental health and wellbeing across the industry.
Joshua works as a Chartered Engineer and change specialist at Rolls-Royce. He is a Digital Lead in Engineering, Technology and Safety as part of the Test & Experimental function working across multiple global business areas. Joshua is passionate about ensuring Rolls-Royce uses the most advanced digital solutions to execute world class Engineering programmes
Laura Hoang is a Human Factors Engineer with a systems engineering background. She is an award-winning Chartered Engineer, and has had a very varied career - from designing cockpits to safety systems for the sustainable energy sector, and now works as a Senior Human Factors Consultant at amentum.
She is a trustee and co-chair of SheCanEngineer, and also a trustee for another charity called Epistemic, whose goal is to make STEM careers advice more accessible. Laura is a STEM Ambassador and also mentors engineers, supporting them with their professional registration and other development goals. In her spare time, she volunteers for a local charity who aim to tackle loneliness in the elderly community.
Lucy Davies is a Technical Manager in Sustainable Air Platforms at BAE Systems. Having graduated from Loughborough University in 2021 with a Masters’ Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, she joined the BAE Systems Graduate Scheme and has been selected for their Future Talent Programme. Lucy gained her Incorporated Engineer Status with the Royal Aeronautical Society in 2023, and sits on the Society’s Women in Aviation, Aerospace and Space Committee.
Lucy is a staunch advocate for women in engineering and sits on the WISE Young Professionals’ Board. With her peers on the Board Lucy has launched a podcast called ‘Unfiltered STEM’ with the purpose of breaking down stereotypes and forming a network of women within STEM.
Originally a Safety Engineer, Melissa holds an MSc in Environmental Science and Technology, and an MBA with Cumbria University. A Chartered Engineer with IMarEST, a Fellow of IMechE, and a Chartered Manager with the CMI.
Melissa has worked within BAE Systems over the last 15 years, firstly Astute, then Dreadnought, within Engineering function and most recently joining SSNA (AUKUS). Prior to BAE Systems, Melissa has worked in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) Industry – all soap powder and toilet roll!
Melissa enjoys her job immensely - she has had the opportunity to create new ways of working, champion women in engineering, develop new talent, as well as influencing the huge changes helping to secure a brighter future for the town.
Outside of work she has 4 children and a crazy Springer Spaniel, sings in a choir and takes drum lessons!
Michael Wohlfart is Business Development Manager for Additive Minds at EOS, with a strong background in high-end product development, and a focus in aerospace, space, and energy. He also oversees the Additive Minds Academy and strategic educational collaborations in the EMEA region.
Michael began his career as an additive manufacturing engineer at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery, supporting the transition from conventional gas turbine component manufacturing to additive serial production.
Since joining EOS in 2017, Michael has held various roles, from optimizing process parameters to assessing business cases within Additive Minds and serving as a Key Account Manager. Before returning to Germany, he spent two and a half years in Los Angeles, supporting strategic U.S. customers particularly in space and aerospace to implement AM technologies by identifying market needs and driving business development.
Nintse Dan-The is a Senior Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman UK within its defence maritime subsidiary, supporting project teams by producing critical project deliverables for design reviews and ensuring the correct application of Systems Engineering fundamentals, such as the correct management of technical and stakeholder requirements, across project lifecycles.
She is also a member of the WISE Young Professionals Board (WYPB), Deputy Chair of the International Council of Systems Engineers UK (INCOSE UK) Early Careers Forum, and Co-Chair of Race, Ethnicity and Cultural Heritage (REACH) ERG at NGUK. Between her intra and extra-vocational responsibilities, Nintse regularly engages in outreach programmes, and finds great joy in being able to motivate those around her to always be their best selves and excel in their careers.
Paul Rawlins is an expert in mathematical physics and algorithm development and has worked as a researcher at Ultra Maritime for over 25 years. His research has focused on the numerical modelling, system design and development of control algorithms for the management of corrosion and electromagnetic signatures for Naval platforms. He is a recognised national and international subject matter expert in modelling and the control of electromagnetic and corrosion related signatures.
Alistair's main research and teaching interests are in aerodynamics, including computational and experimental methods, as well as engineering design and optimisation. He has over 25 years of experience in aerospace engineering across both industry and academia, including research leadership, management, and postgraduate teaching and supervision.
Antonios' research is focused on autonomy. He has published widely on guidance, control and navigation for single and multiple autonomous vehicles as well as mission planning and multi-agent systems.
Weisi's research designs data-driven solutions for socio-cyber-physical ecosystems. In particular, he is interested in how AI and information systems can be designed for specific challenging environments or tasks, whilst integrating human domain knowledge.
Richard has over a decade of experience in the defence sector starting his career at BAE Systems as a Mechanical Engineer on the Type 45 Power and Propulsion team. Since then he has gone on to hold delegated engineering authority on the Hunt Mine Countermeasure Vessel Class, led the Research and Technology division on an innovation team before taking up his current role as the Mechanical Engineering Discipline Lead for BAE Systems Maritime Services. As a Professional Review Interviewer, Richard has a keen interest in inspiring the next generation of engineers to develop their Mechanical Engineering skillset.
Highly qualified Protolabs Account Manager based in Sweden, Sakshi has made a significant impact in just two years with the company, bringing extensive experience from collaborating with key players across diverse industries. She is an expert at building and nurturing client relationships, driving business growth through strategic account planning and delivering tailored solutions that meet client needs. Sakshi combines her deep industry knowledge with a proactive approach, making her an invaluable asset to the Protolabs team.
Stephanie has a background in coordinating policy and procurement campaigns in the defence and space sectors. Having completed her degree in International Relations and Security Studies at the University of Warwick she spent a number of years in the Western Australian State Government and the UK House of Commons, where she worked for two Labour MPs. She then moved to the private sector to work with large defence and aerospace organisations including Raytheon and The Aerospace Corporation. She joined UKspace as their Head of Policy in July 2024.
Highly qualified in Design and Mechanical Engineering, over the past 7 years Tasos has been an integral part of the team at Protolabs.
His journey started as an Application Engineer, a team key to internal and external stakeholders offering high level technical support and advisories when clients are searching for design and manufacturing solutions. During this time, Tasos became a Protolabs Additive Manufacturing Champion, making him a go-to representative for process and capability advice.
Regularly featuring in trade articles, presentations, papers and industry specific panel discussions, Tasos has a strong portfolio and holds a strong position as an influencer in the Additive Manufacturing arena.
Vincent Perrot has spent 6 impactful years at Protolabs, where he currently serves as Marketing Manager for the Southern Europe Region. With deep expertise in digital marketing and strategic brand positioning, Vincent has been instrumental in expanding Protolabs' footprint across Europe. Recognised for his innovative approach to customer engagement and his data-driven insights, he collaborates seamlessly with cross-functional teams to drive marketing efforts aligned with Protolabs’ growth goals. Vincent brings over a decade of experience in tech and manufacturing. He remains passionate about elevating Protolabs' reach and reputation in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
