The future of defence in and from space
An analysis of the threats facing our nation today and tomorrow and how we can address these using space. Additionally she will look at the new security opportunities being created by new space and other developments above the Kármán line. Space is a warfighting domain and it is believed the first shot in the next global conflict may come from space. This talk will look at these issues and consider what we should be doing today to prepare for tomorrow.

Stephanie has a background in coordinating policy and procurement campaigns in the defence and space sectors. Having completed her degree in International Relations and Security Studies at the University of Warwick she spent a number of years in the Western Australian State Government and the UK House of Commons, where she worked for two Labour MPs. She then moved to the private sector to work with large defence and aerospace organisations including Raytheon and The Aerospace Corporation. She joined UKspace as their Head of Policy in July 2024.
