1. Hybrid-electric seaplane could boost fuel efficiency by 85%
Virginia start-up Tidal Flight has signed a letter of intent to supply 20 of its hybrid-electric Polaris seaplanes to Tropic Ocean Airways. Designed for short-haul routes in coastal areas, the aircraft could cut fuel use by 85%.
