1. Electra demonstrates ultra-short take-offs with hybrid plane

Virginia company Electra has demonstrated its hybrid-electric Ultra Short prototype aircraft to the US military. With eight electric motors and extra-large wing flaps, the plane can take off from runways shorter than 100m.
