Radhika Sharma is a Mechanical Design Engineer at Viridian Solar. She is chartered through the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and previously worked at the British Antarctic Survey, designing systems for climate science research. Her professional area of interest is engineering solutions for the environment to help tackle the climate crisis.
Outside of her job, Radhika volunteers as a STEM Ambassador for East of England, and has been involved with She Can Engineer since 2022. She is passionate about encouraging others to enter engineering as a profession and working to make it more diverse and inclusive for those already here.
Laurie Cusick is an Engineer in the Energy Transition team at RED Engineering Design. He first served an apprenticeship in mechanical engineering before obtaining his BEng and an MSc in Renewable Energy. He has worked as a design engineer in fluid power applications, a project co-ordinator in residential construction, and on solar & BESS project for a sustainability focused NGO in Peru. As an engineer in the energy transition team at RED, he primarily works on sustainable and decentralised energy systems for microgrid solutions and private consumers. At RED, he works with a range of power generation technologies, various heating, and cooling technologies as well as district heating and cooling systems. He has also volunteered for multiple sustainability groups, including a student led team at Cranfield University.
Natalie Collcutt is a Senior Building Services Engineer at Watkins Payne. She is a mechanically biased engineer with over a decade of experience in the construction industry. With an interesting background completing her degree as part of an apprenticeship, Natalie has a diverse range of experiences in both residential and commercial projects, spanning from feasibility studies to project completion, and has gained Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status.Passionate about promoting engineering and construction careers by being a STEM Ambassador, Natalie actively collaborates with CIBSE (Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers) and STEM Learning to inspire the next generation of engineers. Natalie was inspired to join the SheCanEngineer volunteering team after attending their 2023 celebration and wanting to be a part of the drive towards encouraging more females to consider engineering as a career after being the only female in her degree class.
Poppy Harrison is a mechanical engineer at AtkinsRéalis, specialising in the nuclear energy sector, where she blends mechanical engineering with digital innovation. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, she co-chairs SheCanEngineer and is the ED&I lead for the London branch of the IMechE's Young Member’s Board. Poppy is also an active member of ZERO, a global community working towards a zero carbon construction industry, and a contributor to the Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce, focusing on sustainability and green skills in the City of London.
